"I enjoyed reading this book. It doesn't vary much from traditional anime stories, so nothing groundbreaking here. It does have good artwork and the story is ok. It isn't my favorite, but I will probably get more in this series."

- Having enjoyed the anime series I wasn't sure what I would think of the manga adaption. The cover art suggested, and accurately so, that Konoe Subaru is rendered even more feminine / adorably, which kinda makes it harder to follow the plot line IMHO. But suspension of disbelief is a thing I guess.
That said however I freaking love the art work. I love how it can be deathly serious and painfully cute at the same time. Kanade's expressions are down right a delicious and Subaru will likely murder you with the cute. Mayo Chiki delivers well as a manga.
Volume I, for those also familiar with the anime, basically runs until the pool arc, which is my favorite in the anime. It's peppered with enough little extra bits and wonderful artwork to be well worth it. I foresee the rest of the manga likely to be in my future. - The story has some great art, though the story is pretty standard for a Manga with the cliches everyone is used to seeing in these types of Manga. Despite this, Mayo Chiki!, manages to stand out because of it's main character; who happens to have a good reason to be afraid of woman, unlike many other male leads in this role.

- Kinjiro wants nothing more than a quiet life, but it is hard when every day you are used as a training dummy by your fight club little sister and martial arts master mother. So much so that he has developed gynophobia and the slightest touch of a girl can give him major nosebleeds. But this changes when he accidentally walks in on the butler to the daughter of the headmaster and discoverd that he - is not a he. This begins his long tortuous journey as he and Konoe must learn to co-exist so that her dream can come true, and maybe he gets over his fears.
I watched the anime and started the manga and I have to say they follow each other fairly well. While nothing original, it still is well written and you can feel the story. I would recommend reading this series, and watching the anime if you have not already. - This absolutely hilarious series is perfect for any fan of Harem style comedies. It's a gender bending story full of, groupies, accidental touching, and misunderstandings with comedic results.
- This is my all time favorite manga as well as its anime counterpart and that says a lot for some one like me
- I loved it. I finished reading it in less than an hour and then re-read it xD It was cute and entertaining. I do not regret this purchase.
